Folkerkskoe wheel - this is the first rotating boat lift in the world, which solved the problem of ships moving between channels with different water levels. May 24, 2002 by Queen Elizabeth II opened this piece of British engineers in celebration of her Golden Jubilee. The construction of hydraulic works like a Ferris wheel and attached to it on opposite sides of the two giant trays. The whole process of moving vessels between the upper and lower channels occurs in a half-turn device and takes the time only 4 minutes.
