Artist Gabor Miklos Szoke, known for gigantic sculptures made out of wood, recently broke a record by creating the biggest bird monument in Europe. Made for the famous Hungarian football club, FTC, the enormous eagle has a span of 16 meters, a height of 8 meters and a weight that exceeds 15 tons. This time, the artist tried his hand with a different kind of material, stainless steel. It was his first time using stainless steel and it was also the biggest monument he had ever created. From start to finish, the project took an incredible seven months to make with more than 100 people working on the eagle including engineers and welders. It is composed of 5,000 steel prisms. The eagle is seen swooping down on its prey. Instead of an animal, however, the prey is replaced by a ball. The eagle symbolizes will, freedom, and extraordinary performance.

Artist Mariam Paré was just beginning her creative career as a 20-year-old art student in 1996, when she was shot in the spine and left paralyzed from the neck down. Despite the dire circumstances and limitations she was forced to accept, Paré found a way to continue her artistic path. While in therapy, she learned to write her name with a pen in her mouth and eventually that skill led to maintaining control over a paintbrush. In an interview with USA Today, the artist says, "Now, I think I'm better than I was with my hands."

Ocean Atlas — Statue of a girl on the Ocean Floor, The sight of this sculpture, which last week placed at the bottom of New Providence Island in the Bahamas, is truly impressive. The height of 5.5 meters and weighing 50 tonnes sculpture is the largest underwater artwork ever installed below the bottom of the sea and called "Ocean Atlas". 

The artist behind the inspiration and creation, is Jason deCaires Taylor, known from other similar installations underwater sculptures. The project is a modern translation of the Atlas of Greek mythology, who is represented here in the form of a local girl from the exotic archipelago. The position of the celestial sphere occupied by the sea, the sculpture has been installed at a location that makes it look that supports the weight of the water.

The message of the installation is ecological and wants to awaken the destruction of marine life, showing how the future of the oceans is in the hands of the new generation. The installation in the water was a technically complicated case. The sections were immersed in the sculpture where it was set and then the team that worked on the project assembled.
